The True Squeegee!
For years I have been bothered by the title of a very commonly used object. Until KindaIntense really started to take off, I didn't have a true vessel to express my thoughts. With that, I want you to take a look at this picture and think about what you see:

If you answered "squeegee," then you are WRONG!! Let's analyze this...
If you look at the spelling of the word, it should be noted that it ends in "ee." Typically this would indicate that the word originated from a verb that is related to the action that the tool is being used to perform (in this case "squeege" - ignoring the Urban Dictionary definition). When you formulate a noun from a verb by ending it in "ee," that also indicates that the noun in question is on the receiving end of the verb action. Since we've established that the removal of the water from glass could be deamed as "squeeging," this would mean that the aparatus being named for performing the task should end in "er." That would make this tool no longer a "squeegee," but rather a "squeeger." And since the window/ windshield is on the receiving end of the squeeging, it would become the actual "squeegee."
A correct example of this would be 7-11's famous Slurpee drink. Since the action is being performed buy the consumer (aka, the "slurper"), the beverage finds itself on the receiving end of the slurp. Because of this, the drink is aptly titled a "Slurpee."
We can get pretty tricky with this technicality by looking at the term "escapee." The "ee" indicates that the term originated from the verb "escape" and is being applied to whomever is engaging a runaway from their current holdings. This is tricky because the person can be deemed both the "escaper" and the "escapee." This is because the person escaping is engaging in the act of doing so (hence being the "escaper"), but also finds themself on the receiving end of the act of escaping (thus also being the "escapee").
So, to recap:
SQUEEGE: (v); The act of window cleaning. Specifically, the action of wiping liquid from a glass surface with a tool equipped with a flat, smooth, rubber blade.
SQUEEGEE: (n); The surface that is on the receiving end of the liquid-removal squeeging process, when performed with the appropriate rubber-bladed tool.
SQUEEGER: (n); A flat, smooth, rubber-bladed tool, often equipped with a soaking sponge. The aparatus required to squeege and/ or the person making use of said divice.
As loyal KinaIntense fans, I urge you to do your part in changing the world. Go to your local hardware stores and express your passion for this ideal. When your vehicles are being serviced, detailed, or fueled, preach to the automotive maintenance person in front of you and encourgae them to pass the word on to their customer (unless you are one of those automotive maintence people, then simply explain it to your customers). Together, we can make a difference!
